Period: Early Cretaceous

Barionixes are among the few known fish-eating dinosaurs, with a specially adapted depressed muzzle, narrow muzzles, fine teeth and claw-like claws that helped with the hunting of the victims.

It is said that the Baryonyx sat on the banks of the river, on their front legs, and then caught fish from the river with their powerful impact nails.

Their hunting method is similar to that of modern grizzly bears.
